Dhoom 1 is a 2004 Indian action thriller movie directed by Sanjay Gadhvi and produced by Yash Raj Films. The movie stars Abhishek Bachchan, John Abraham, Uday Chopra, Esha Deol and Rimi Sen in the lead roles. The movie revolves around a mysterious gang of bikers who rob establishments and then escape on their superbikes. ACP Jai Dixit (Bachchan) is assigned to catch them with the help of a mechanic and racer named Ali (Chopra). The movie was a huge hit at the box office and spawned two sequels: Dhoom 2 (2006) and Dhoom 3 (2013).
The movie begins with a robbery at a petrol pump by a gang of bikers led by Kabir (Abraham). They use their bikes to evade the police and escape. ACP Jai Dixit is frustrated by their modus operandi and decides to enlist the help of Ali, a bike mechanic and racer who has a crush on Sheena (Deol), a friend of Jai's wife Sweety (Sen). Ali agrees to help Jai in exchange for money and a chance to woo Sheena.
Jai and Ali track down the gang's next target: a casino in Mumbai. They manage to catch one of the gang members, but he commits suicide before revealing anything. Jai and Ali then follow Kabir to Goa, where he plans to pull off his final heist: robbing a ship full of money. Jai and Ali infiltrate the gang by posing as bikers and participate in a race organized by Kabir. Ali wins the race and impresses Kabir, who invites him to join his gang. Ali accepts, hoping to get closer to Kabir and expose him.
However, things get complicated when Ali falls in love with Sheena, who turns out to be Kabir's girlfriend. Ali also learns that Kabir is not interested in money, but wants to prove himself as the best biker in India. Kabir reveals his plan to rob the ship and then escape by jumping off a cliff with his bike and landing on a train. He also tells Ali that he will kill him after the heist, as he does not trust anyone.
Ali informs Jai about Kabir's plan and asks him to stop him. Jai arrives at the ship with his team and tries to arrest Kabir, but he escapes with his bike. Jai chases him on his bike and reaches the cliff. He confronts Kabir and tries to persuade him to surrender, but Kabir refuses. He jumps off the cliff with his bike and lands on the train, but Jai follows him. They fight on top of the train until Kabir loses his balance and falls off. Jai catches him and saves him from falling into the river. He handcuffs him and takes him into custody.
